Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping and/or accounts payable experience required
- Highly knowledgeable on US GAAP Accounting terms and practices
- Previous experience with QuickBooks Online
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of GSuite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience working in a startup environment
Responsibilities
- Review all payables via email and virtual mailbox
- Serve as a contact for vendors and department heads regarding accounts payable issues
- Research, resolve, and communicate any discrepancies on vendor accounts, through email or phone
- Manage and set up new suppliers in the Bill.com; obtain W-9/W-8BEN for all new domestic and foreign vendors
- Manage invoicing in Bill.com; GL coding expenses, assigning approvals and payments; integrated with QuickBooks Online
- Manage and maintain 1099 records of vendors, including holding responsibility for the annual filing
- Manage corporate credit card spend, work with authorized users to properly code and approve transactions; export all transactions and reconcile with the QuickBooks Online integration
- Assist in developing appropriate policies and controls for the entire payables process and help enforce policies
- Review employee expense reimbursements in accordance with reimbursement policy
- Assist in month-end closing, and maintain responsibility for the GL account reconciliations of AP, Accruals, Prepaids, and Credit Cards
