Summary

A growing consulting firm is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to lead the expansion of their Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Federal Civilian market portfolios. The role requires a deep understanding of federal market development methodologies and HHS and Federal Government procurement programs, as well as experience with emergency management, management consulting, and other advisory services. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, spearheading strategic pursuits, developing relationships, managing client engagements, and collaborating with senior management.

Requirements

  • Robust grasp of federal market development methodologies
  • Deep understanding of HHS and Federal Government procurement programs
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, emergency management, or public administration preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience preferred, seven (7) years of experience required with Federal clients with a focus on HHS

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective leads
  • Spearhead major strategic pursuits
  • Develop innovative solutions
  • Foster collaborative relationships
  • Craft responses to customer solicitations for new ventures
  • Initiate and nurture customer engagements
  • Cultivate strong client relationships
  • Manage, maintain, and cultivate relationships with existing contracts
  • Representing Tidal Basin Federal through outreach efforts
  • Assist in strategic plan development for HHS
  • Manage client relationships to foster opportunities and ensure successful delivery
  • Secure and align resource needs and leverage resources assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a grasp of the business development challenges within the federal consulting-services provision
  • Leadership prowess demonstrated through team management and internal networking
  • Proficiency in key pursuits, including strategy development, pricing, and team management
  • Working knowledge of disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation grant programs
