Summary

Join Squarespace's Business Development team as a passionate professional dedicated to leveraging the platform's power to help customers build their brands and businesses. You will play a key role in identifying and developing new growth opportunities, collaborating with various teams across the company. Based in New York or remotely in an approved US state, you will report to the Senior Business Development Manager. Responsibilities include optimizing the Commercial Partnerships portfolio, working with cross-functional teams, maintaining partner relationships, and communicating market opportunities. You will also develop business proposals, negotiate contracts, and represent Squarespace externally. This role requires significant experience in partnerships, business development, or product management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience relating to partnerships, business development, strategy, or product management
  • Strong product sense, and comfort with considering basic technical feasibility of partner integrations
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives without sacrificing attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and grow our Commercial Partnerships portfolio, investing in strategic growth areas of Payments, Financial Services, added-value products and product-integral functions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution of product partnerships
  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Communicate market opportunities, needs and partner feedback to teams to inform product roadmap and prioritization
  • Collaborate with design, product, engineering, legal, finance, marketing, and PR to launch, maintain, and grow product partnerships
  • Track and communicate partner metrics, industry trends and the impact of these partnerships on business goals
  • Develop business proposals, structure projections and KPIs, and negotiate term sheets / contracts
  • Represent Squarespace in external meetings with counterparts from other companies

  • A passion and curiosity for new creative tool products and their potential for transforming industries
  • Experience and/or interest in commercial payments, fintech, and financial services space
