Summary
Join Pax8 as a Cloud Development Representative (CDR) and be the first point of contact for future partners, guiding them through the process of launching and growing their cloud business. You will qualify leads, build partner roadmaps, and conduct personalized demos to showcase the platform's capabilities. Responsibilities include onboarding new partners, setting up their systems, supporting their first transactions, and connecting them with educational resources. The role requires at least one year of experience in a sales development or business development role within a SaaS company, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a passion for cloud technology. Success in this role involves consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals, becoming a trusted advisor to partners, and potentially mentoring newer representatives. Pax8 offers a remote-friendly work environment with competitive compensation, including a base salary plus commission, and various benefits.
Requirements
- Have 1+ year of experience in a Sales Development or Business Development role within a SaaS company —this is non-negotiable
- Be fearless when it comes to picking up the phone—cold calls and warm leads are both your jam
- Know how to manage a sales cycle from interest to first purchase
- Bring a passion for solving real business challenges with cloud tech
- Rock at relationship-building, problem-solving, and managing time like a boss
- Be ready to learn the ins and outs of cloud products (Security, Infrastructure, Productivity, and more)
Responsibilities
- Chat with MSPs looking to join our Pax8 Cloud Marketplace —and show them why they’ll love it here
- Qualify leads, build Partner roadmaps, and showcase the power of our platform through personalized demos
- Help new Partners get off the ground—onboarding them, setting up their systems, and supporting them through their first transaction
- Connect them with education through Pax8 Academy and upcoming events
- Coordinate with Channel Account Managers (CAMs) for a smooth handoff after the first win—or continue to nurture and grow the account yourself
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance—or equivalent hustle
- Master Pax8 onboarding and our sales process
- Understand the full suite of cloud solutions we offer and how they solve Partner pain points
- Begin shadowing and then leading Partner recruitment calls
- Independently onboard new Partners and guide them to their first transactions
- Create customized 90-day growth roadmaps for Partners
- Build strong relationships with CAMs and vendors to collaborate on Partner success
- Hit your first revenue targets
- Confidently own a pipeline of active, transacting Partners
- Start influencing strategy for how we recruit, activate, and retain high-value accounts
- You’ve consistently hit or exceeded monthly sales goals
- You’ve become a trusted advisor to new Partners and a go-to resource for internal teams
- You’re mentoring newer reps—or maybe ready to grow into a CAM or leadership role
