Summary
The job is for a Business Development Rep (BDR) to lead and grow sales efforts in the federal market segment. The role involves daily lead generation, collaboration with Account Executives, qualifying leads, and meeting or exceeding weekly metrics and quarterly KPIs. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in an inside sales role, a solid understanding of government operations, experience working with federal agencies and contractors, excellent communication skills, a bachelor's degree, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an inside sales role doing daily prospecting, cold calling, emailing, requesting referrals, additional lead generation activities
- Solid understanding of how the government operates, including procurement policies and procedures, and experience working with federal agencies and contractors
- Experience in technology (ideally SaaS) sales environment
- Prior track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- The ability to jump between different projects and industries and quickly understand value props for each new client
- Strong capabilities in pipeline development/management, sales process, and sales methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree from a competitive university, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
Own the full Business Development process including: Daily Lead Generation, Collaborating with Account Executives to plan sales outreach strategies, Researching Accounts and potential contacts, Qualifying leads and scheduling calls with prospective clients, Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to clients, Documenting all relevant customer information and conversations into Salesforce, Meeting or exceed weekly metrics and quarterly KPIs
