Summary

Join Wati, the world's leading WhatsApp-first conversational growth platform, as a Business Development Representative based in Brazil. This key role will accelerate Wati's growth across Latin America by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities. You will lead generation and qualification through outbound outreach and inbound channels, execute region-specific strategies for market expansion, and engage with prospects via various communication methods. Collaboration with Account Executives and Marketing is crucial for lead handoff and campaign optimization. Maintaining accurate CRM records and providing regular updates are also essential. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in business development or sales, a deep understanding of the LATAM market, and strong communication skills. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role—preferably in SaaS or tech
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM market and experience working with businesses in the region
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRMs

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify and research potential customers through outbound outreach and inbound channels. Qualify leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile
  • Market Expansion: Execute region-specific strategies to grow Wati’s footprint in LATAM, contributing directly to sales pipeline and revenue growth
  • Customer Engagement: Communicate with prospects via email, phone, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings to understand their needs and educate them on Wati’s value proposition
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to hand off qualified leads, provide market insights, and optimize campaigns
  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in the CRM system and share regular updates with the regional team
  • Experimentation & Feedback: Test new outreach tactics, gather market feedback, and help shape go-to-market messaging for the region

Preferred Qualifications

Background as a BDR/AE in SaaS with a focus on conversational marketing is a bonus
