Summary

The job description is for a Business Development Representative at Wrike's Expand sales department. The main goal is to identify and generate new business opportunities by following up on inbound leads, identifying prospects across existing customers, cold calling, email outreach, social media, networking events, assessing suitability of potential clients, conducting research, qualifying prospects, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, and Salesforce, and collaborating with other teams to convert prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing efforts by following up on inbound leads and inquiries
  • Identify new prospects across the business of existing customers
  • Actively seek out potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking events
  • Assess the suitability of potential clients by understanding their needs, budget, and decision-making processes to ensure they are a good fit for Wrike
  • Conduct research on the prospect and their organisation and leverage thoughtful personalisation in your outreach across email, phone and LinkedIn
  • Qualify prospects to help improve conversion rates from Discovery Call to Opportunity
  • Use tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, and Salesforce
  • Work closely with other BDRs, Senior Sales Executives, and Marketing to improve and perfect our messaging

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 1+ years experience in a Sales Development or similar role in a B2B business
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated success of reaching monthly and quarterly targets
  • Experience with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Strong work ethic and a β€˜Can Do’ attitude
