Requirements
- Previous experience as a Camera Designer with a focus on cinematic content in video games
- Demonstrated skill in cinematic camera placement and creating engaging scenes for a narrative-driven game experience
- Understanding of game development processes
- Familiarity with major game development engines, with a preference for Unreal Engine
- Proficiency in camera animation tools, with a strong preference for Sequencer
Responsibilities
- Design and implement camera systems for highly scripted and controlled cinematic moments within the game
- Manage camera placements to enhance narrative scenes and ensure an impactful, purposeful viewer experience
- Develop camera transitions that complement both gameplay mechanics and cinematic sequences
- Work closely with the Presentation Lead and Game Director to create and land significant presentation moments through meticulous camera work
- Proactively anticipate and resolve issues related to camera transitions in and out of gameplay
- Utilize tools like Sequencer as the primary method for camera animation, ensuring high-quality cinematic flow
- Maintain standards of cinematic excellence, aligning camera work with the game's artistic vision and narrative needs
- Coordinate efforts across various departments to streamline camera integration and address production challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributed to successful 3rd person action-adventure games, particularly in cinematic design
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and its cinematic tools like Sequencer
