Summary
A Delivery Manager is needed by a rapidly growing software company to oversee the efficient and timely delivery of products/services to clients. The Delivery Manager will lead delivery teams, develop delivery strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor project progress, act as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and track key performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in delivery management, project management, or a similar role, preferably in a B2B software company
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Preference towards being hands on with your products by installing and using the product and putting yourself in the shoes of your target personas
- Experience working with large organizations and/or with international teams that cross multiple time zones
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and queries from team members simultaneously
- Ability to be flexible and embrace change
- Ability to quickly pick up technical concepts and terminology
- Demonstrated ability to be organized to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery teams (Product Management and R&D) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Develop and implement effective delivery strategies and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and R&D, and Product Management to prepare for releases and align delivery activities with business objectives
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of any issues or concerns
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify opportunities for process innovation and optimization
- Track key performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on delivery performance and project status
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with testing tools (or previous work experience in a QA/QE role)
- Technical background dealing with development tools and the software development life cycle
- Familiarity with Test Management tools
