Summary
The job description is for a Business Development leader role at 1Password, responsible for building and scaling a high-performance business development organization. The position is remote within Canada and the US, with occasional travel for in-person engagement. The salary range is between $143,000 USD and $193,000 USD (USA) or between $135,000 CAD and $183,000 CAD (Canada), and the role is commission eligible.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in sales or business development, with a minimum of 5 years in a second-line leadership role
- Proven Success: A track record of building and scaling outbound sales functions, leading high-performing teams to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Strategic Insight: Deep understanding of outbound sales processes and business development strategies
- Operational Excellence: Extensive experience in creating scalable processes, cadences, and playbooks for outbound sales motions
- Talent Development: Proven ability to hire, develop, and promote top talent within a sales organization
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with sales tools like Outreach.io , LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo
- Energy & Enthusiasm: A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a hunter mindset
Responsibilities
- Build, develop and execute the Business Development strategy, objectives, and roadmap
- Shape the structure and processes of the Business Development team to support strategic goals
- Stay current with industry trends to refine and enhance the Business Development strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external partners
- Oversee the teamβs performance through metrics and reporting, driving productivity and efficiency improvements
- Implement scalable performance standards, processes, and tools
- Hire and mentor a diverse team, preparing successors and supporting career development
- Enhance sales processes and drive productivity through coaching and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS and cybersecurity industries is a plus
