Summary

Join Olipop, a fast-growing company in the beverage industry, as their Retail Operations Manager. This role requires managing the retail operations budget, resolving customer issues, and collaborating with third-party partners to maximize retail performance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing retail operation tools, monitoring partner success, and conducting regular training and audits. The ideal candidate possesses 7-10 years of sales operations experience in a CPG company, strong communication and negotiation skills, and experience managing brokers and third-party partners. Requirements

  • 7-10 years of sales operations experience in a CPG company
  • Experience developing sales operations tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience managing brokers and managing 3Ps
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and finance as well as external partners
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing third-party partners
  • Experience with Wiser or similar CRM system

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall retail operations budget to plan
  • Triage customer retail issues and distribution opportunities working with 3P merchandising partners and sales account managers to maximize retail operations
  • Communicate competitive activity back to the organization re: assortment, pricing, shelving and promotion changes
  • Identify and partner with the marketing and sales ops team to develop retail operation tools needed to drive the business including but not limited to POS, demo/roadshow supplies, field applied IRCs and tear pads, and coolers
  • Manage, maintain and leverage CRM tool (Wiser)
  • Monitor success of 3P and broker partners through 3P analysis report. Evaluate ROI and make necessary strategy changes as our needs change
  • 3rd Party Merchandising vendor training and management (Dirty Hands, Basemakers, Green Spoon, Advantage, Fresh Source)
  • Aligning with the sales team and broker retail on account specific missions and selling priorities min. 30 days in advance of execution
  • Track and report speed to shelf on new items
  • Verify compliance on agreed upon shelf and merchandising price points, communicate discrepancies to the team
  • Conduct monthly meetings with each third party partner, validating upcoming retail execution priorities for the next 60 days and reviewing scorecard results to track performance
  • Utilize existing and/or develop scorecards required to hold broker partners accountable to KPI metrics tied to the plan
  • Conduct brand training with 3P merch teams and brokers; conduct regular ride-alongs to monitor audit activity
  • Accepts responsibility for the organizational goals by taking ownership of new and different duties and identifying new opportunities within the sales department
