Summary

Join Legal Link as the Director of Strategic Partnerships to expand the Legal First Aid® program nationally. This role combines relationship-building and program management, involving outreach to new partners, coordinating logistics, and ensuring high-quality implementation and data tracking. You will represent Legal Link externally, manage a partner pipeline, and align partnerships with organizational goals to advance equitable access to justice. The ideal candidate is a collaborative strategist who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about building systems that support community economic stability and prevent homelessness. The position reports to the Co-Executive Director and involves close collaboration with program and legal teams. Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in partnerships, external affairs, development, program management, or a related field
  • Experience working in mission-driven, nonprofit, philanthropic, or public sector environments
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships
  • Experience coordinating meetings and managing partner-facing logistics, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong commitment to equity, community-centered approaches, and Legal Link’s mission
  • Comfort working in a small, hybrid/remote team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement across sectors
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align partnerships with organizational goals
  • Project management skills, including coordinating partner meetings and ensuring seamless execution of partnership deliverables
  • Ability to manage outreach processes such as registration reminders and training participation follow-up
  • Analytical skills to track training participation data, partner metrics, and program outcomes to inform strategy
  • Comfort representing the organization externally with professionalism and warmth
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to collaboration, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand Legal Link’s reach
  • Connect with key audiences, including national associations of county health and social service professionals, community foundations, and similar networks
  • Promote Legal Link’s model as a solution to the access-to-justice crisis
  • Cultivate, maintain, and grow a pipeline of partners
  • Provide project management with new and existing partner sites and agencies
  • Identify, engage, and pursue new partnership opportunities
  • Represent Legal Link externally at conferences, meetings, and other events
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, to source new partnerships and philanthropic investments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CRM, partnership tracking tools, or program data management tools
  • Advanced degree
  • Knowledge of legal systems, players, or access to justice efforts

Benefits

Salary: $100,000-120,000 DOE
