Summary

The Facility Solutions Manager (FSM) is responsible for managing and executing Commissioning Management on multiple projects for Hensel Phelps Construction Co. They will report directly to the Facility Solutions Regional Manager and will be supported by remote Facility Solutions Associates. The FSM must have MEPF (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) and building controls experience. They will work with Hensel Phelps Construction Co. teams, manage associated trade partners, develop project plans, schedules, and documentation, and oversee the management and document control of the Cx progress via commissioning software platform. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction with a 4-year degree in construction management or engineering.

Requirements

• Minimum (10) years of experience in commercial construction with a MEPF/building controls contractor, general contractor, and/or Cx agency
• A 4-year degree in construction management or engineering is required

Responsibilities

• Work on behalf of, and in concert, with the Hensel Phelps Construction Co. teams
• Interface, coordinate and directly manage the associated MEPF trade partners during through plan development, inspections and ultimately the Cx testing process
• Manage a team of individuals to deliver the Operational Project Readiness (OPR) and be the primary driver of the Commissioning Management (CxM) services on multiple projects
• Review contract documents for program/project understanding, constructability, operability, and functionality requirements
• Develop project specific commissioning plan and project execution plan per Hensel Phelps’ templates and in accordance with the Contract Documents
• Establish testing/certification requirements for each piece of equipment for documentation management through Cx software platform
• Develop Level 2 and 3 Cx Scripts
• Develop and maintain Cx progress visual tracking / status tools
• Documentation of MEPF equipment inspections and testing
• Oversee the management and document control of the Cx progress via commissioning software platform
• Coordinate and manage the Level 4/5 Cx testing on behalf of Hensel Phelps Construction Co
