Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS/Tech marketing
  • Proven success in executing impactful marketing strategies and driving growth in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, target markets, and customer personas
  • Expertise in digital marketing, content marketing, demand generation, and marketing automation platforms
  • Proven ability to analyze metrics, track performance, and make data-informed decisions to optimize marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (C1+), with strong presentation capabilities
  • Experience in organizing, attending, and representing brands at industry events and conferences
  • Passion for open source technology, remote collaboration, and community-driven innovation

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead marketing strategy
  • Define and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy, aligning branding, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans with our business objectives
  • Own OpenProject’s marketing roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment with Sales and Product to maximize impact
  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Leverage SEO, content marketing, digital advertising, and events to fuel sustainable growth
  • Identify and capitalize on new marketing opportunities that align with OpenProject’s business strategy
  • Position OpenProject as a leader in open source project management by overseeing high-quality content creation (e.g. landing pages, whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, videos)
  • Represent OpenProject at open source conferences and industry events, strengthening our brand and engaging developers, users, and partners
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team of 5+ professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
  • Establish best practices, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency and alignment across marketing efforts
  • Track key performance metrics, analyze results, and optimize strategies to maximize impact and ROI
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to ensure OpenProject remains ahead of the curve
  • Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve business goals
