Summary

Join insightsoftware as the Manager of Corporate Development and contribute to the company's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. You will play a key role in assessing and pursuing buy-side acquisitions, from deal sourcing and target evaluation to due diligence and transaction execution. This position also involves post-closing integration responsibilities and requires strong financial modeling, presentation, and communication skills. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A. Software industry expertise is preferred but not required. The role demands strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a willingness to work long hours during transaction processes. Some travel is required.

Requirements

  • Superior Academic Performance (Bachelors in Accounting or Finance)
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience in Investment Banking (M&A Deal Experience) / Private Equity / Corporate M&A
  • Demonstrated interest in technology industry sectors and trends required
  • Experience with Operational and M&A financial modeling (in Excel)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience: Advanced Excel expertise is critical
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to c-suite, board of directors, or other outside partners
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well independently and function as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task, working on conflicting priorities simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to work long hours in an intense environment during a transaction process
  • US work authorization is required
  • Some travel required (~10%-15%)

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, tracking, and maintaining a pipeline of potential acquisition targets and deal activity
  • Assisting with preliminary assessments of target acquisitions
  • Development of the initial and pre-close acquisition financial models
  • Manage due diligence processes, including third-party advisors and internal stakeholders working along disparate timelines
  • Assisting in preparation in diligence analyses, investment theses, acquisition briefing materials, and Executive Team and Board approval materials
  • Helping to prepare and present internal reports to private equity owners (well-known software investors)
