Summary
Join Twilio's Social Impact Sales team as the New Business Manager! Lead a team driving revenue and growth within the social impact sector. Requirements
- Requires prior field sales management in communications, CPaaS or SaaS company
- 5+ years of combined experience in field sales, strategic selling, sales leadership, managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions for customers and teams
- Experience in supporting social impact, HLS, or public sector focused on engaging organizations to utilize technology to increase their mission scale
- Comfortable working with nonprofits, HLS, and public sector and highly technical leaders, while influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships
- Analytical account development strategy based on using data to find opportunities and prove value
- Demonstrated track record of managing team business forecasts and financial models
- Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define processes and build programs
- Record of delivering revenue and gross profit results with CPaaS, SaaS or communications technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelorβs Degree or equivalent years of experience
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand strategic social impact customer accounts, including nonprofits, social enterprises, and government agencies, at all levels (strategic, net new and self-service)
- Develop, drive, and execute account strategy with your team to consistently deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results
- Manage and lead the Social Impact global sales development team
- Partner closely with other Twilio teams and alliance partners to identify new revenue opportunities within your account portfolio
- Grow pipeline in collaboration with Marketing and Demand Gen Teams as well as individual team prospecting in the assigned territory/vertical
- Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from partner alliances, , SE, product, operations, marketing, support, and social and environmental impact team members
- Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieve goals, and present guidance to executive management
- Run highly consultative sales cycles with our customers with a focus on deep discovery, listening to customer needs and being an effective champion for their point of view in the organization
- Provide support for Social Impact activities through engaging with regional Twilio teams in partnership with key Twilio.org customers and partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience working with telecom companies, including SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms
- Domain expertise from collaborating with nonprofits and social enterprises encompasses areas such as donor optimization, mission communication, volunteer recruitment, and program promotion with a focus on impact measurement
- Twilio sales leadership experience
- Software, SaaS, CPaas or PaaS selling experience
