  • 15 years of experience leading payroll function
  • Experience with ADP, HRIS, Cocoon, Oracle
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for multi-state U.S. employees including processing benefits (health insurance, 401K, FSA/HSAs, etc), terminations, garnishments, leaves of absence, taxes, and W-2s
  • Prepare and process payroll at international locations (Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico) by working with local payroll providers
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and provide payroll data as needed for financial accounting close
  • Support external audits (financial statement audit, worker’s compensation audit, statutory audits)
  • Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners including but not limited to human resources, accounting, and financial planning and analysis
  • Advise employees on payroll matters by answering questions and providing payroll information to new hires
  • Prepare payroll calendars for US and International entities
  • Monitor legal and procedural changes and update processes as appropriate (for example, time tracking requirements in various jurisdictions)
  • Review and update payroll processes and procedures as needed
  • Perform other related functions and complete ad hoc projects as they arise
  • Register new states according to payroll regulations
  • Ensure accuracy of W-2s and submit information to ADP
