Summary
Join Product School as our People Operations Manager and play a vital role in supporting our rapid growth. You will provide comprehensive HR support to our U.S. employees and coordinate operations across Spain and Mexico. Responsibilities encompass the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive work environment. You will manage HR systems, address employee inquiries, and partner with leadership on performance reviews and development programs. This role requires 3+ years of HR experience, strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, and a detail-oriented approach. Requirements
- You have 3+ years in HR, People Operations, or related roles, with experience supporting U.S.-based employees and managing foreign entities
- You have a solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- You are meticulous when it comes to processes, compliance, and documentation
- You’re a great listener, communicator, and problem solver who cares deeply about the employee experience
- You thrive in ambiguity, anticipate problems before they arise, and always find a solution
- You are comfortable using HR tools, systems, and spreadsheets to streamline work
Responsibilities
- Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee record management
- Manage compliance with U.S. HR laws and regulations, ensuring employee handbooks, policies, and procedures are always up-to-date
- Support and coordinate people and HR operations, liaising with local legal and entity management to ensure compliance with local employment laws
- Coordinate employee benefits (U.S. and foreign), including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management
- Manage HR tools, systems, and platforms to ensure efficiency (HRIS, payroll, and benefits software)
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment matters
- Partner with leadership to drive performance review processes, scorecard creation, goal-setting initiatives, and professional development programs
- Support collection and insights for HR metrics (e.g., engagement, attrition, headcount planning) and recommend improvements to policies, programs, and processes
- Champion a culture of engagement, collaboration, and high performance
- Plan and coordinate virtual team events, all-hands meetings, and employee recognition programs
- Roll out initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and career development
- Proactively surface and address employee concerns, helping maintain a healthy, inclusive work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in startup or scaling environments
- Familiarity with managing international entities
- You’ve implemented HR systems in the past
