Summary

Join Hala's People Operations team as a People Operations Specialist! This full-time, fixed-term position (Lisbon or remote) focuses on managing the TALENT Grant project, supporting core administrative functions, and enhancing employee experience. You will oversee talent development initiatives, manage employee onboarding, maintain administrative systems, and contribute to team engagement. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of People Operations and other departments. A competitive salary and flexible work policy are offered. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a similar role within People Operations
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese
  • High level of proficiency using Excel and Google Sheets

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the successful implementation and management of the TALENT Grant project, ensuring alignment with budgetary and programmatic goals
  • Oversee the Development component, which involves implementing a comprehensive manager training program, coordinating leadership forums and retreats, managing specialized skill development sessions, and rolling out a learning/knowledge management platform
  • Support Retention efforts by coordinating team-building initiatives, managing the employee experience platform, and facilitating engagement programs
  • Manage Other components, including the implementation of a new HRIS system to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support the daily operational work of the People Operations Department, ensuring smooth execution of activities and collaboration with other departments within Hala
  • Provide hands-on support to core People Operations functions, including: Maintaining administrative systems and processes, including personnel files, employment contracts, document collection, signatures, and fiscal registration in accordance with Portuguese regulations
  • Manage the People Operations backlog by completing tasks such as data entry, updates, and system improvements
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of People Operations, focusing on administrative tasks, contract management, and ensuring efficient system operations
  • Support and coordinate activities within the People Operations Department to promote events and initiatives for teams and the entire organization
  • Assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager by supporting all stages of the compensation cycle and benefits management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in training and development programs
  • Prior experience or desire to work cross-culturally, cross-functionally and collaboratively with remote and distributed teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication and strong presentation skills
  • Experience working with logistical coordination of teams
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
