Requirements

• Be a crypto native with a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, particularly modular blockchain systems and scaling solutions
• Demonstrate success hosting or producing crypto content for podcasts, webinars, blogs, or other reporting
• Have experience interviewing technical experts and driving substantive discussions
• Possess the ability to discern compelling stories and find engaging content
• Have a history of successfully growing an audience and following

Responsibilities

• Host the Expansion Podcast: Plan, script, host, and record two episodes per week
• Develop Podcast Content: Design and develop content and themes for each episode, using the latest news and events in the crypto and macro industries
• Identify, Source, and Secure Guests: Proactively identify podcast guests with potential for creating exceptional stories
• Contribute to Newsletters: Write contributions to the newsletter twice per week
• Drive Social Engagement: Leverage personal and professional social channels to grow the Expansion audience
• Partner with Sales: Collaborate with the sales team to build new sponsorship areas and strengthen relationships with current sponsors
• Learn, Embrace, and Grow the Blockworks Audience: Understand core audience segments and uncover insights to stimulate engagement and content evolution
• Build the Expansion Brand IRL: Represent the show at in-person events (listener meet-ups, hackathons, conferences, etc.)
• Balance Technical Depth with Approachability: Maintain the show's position as a definitive technical discussion platform while ensuring content remains accessible
• Shape Technical Discourse: Guide discussions that advance understanding of critical challenges in the modular blockchain space

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an exceptionally deep understanding of the blockchain scaling landscape paired with a creative and compelling approach to discussions
• Have published technical analysis or research in the blockchain space
• Have experience with live broadcasting or real-time technical discussions
• Have built relationships within the blockchain infrastructure community
• Have demonstrated thought leadership in blockchain scaling solutions
• Have prior experience in technical podcast hosting or production
• Have a background in media, especially on camera
• Possess an outstanding ability to interview guests and honed instincts of when and how to dig deeper while making guests feel comfortable
