Summary

Join Aledade as a Project Coordinator to support the operations of several CMMI programs, ensuring timely payment processing of claims and incentive payments from CMS. You will be a subject matter expert in revenue cycle functions and the claims submission process, processing payments, maintaining records, and providing customer service. This role requires knowledge of medical billing and coding, strong communication and organizational skills, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position offers flexibility with remote work options within the US or from the Bethesda, MD office. A competitive salary range is offered, along with bonus and equity.

Requirements

  • Strong background in accounts receivable and an understanding of Medicare billing
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPC level 11 coding guidelines
  • Ability to navigate healthcare industry rules and regulations, including HIPAA, False Claims Act, Fair Debt Collections Act and Stark Law
  • Experience with ambulatory practice billing processes and operations
  • Close attention to details
  • Proficiency in the billing and coding processes
  • Ability to manage time with little to no supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and managing projects/multiple priorities
  • High school diploma

Responsibilities

  • Process adjudicated claims received from CMS; identify and troubleshoot any errors
  • Verify all demographic information in the software to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with practices, third party vendors and other team members to resolve inconsistencies and errors
  • Support the validation of check runs ahead of financial disbursements
  • Answer all customer inquiries on assigned accounts
  • Support project completion while balancing multiple, simultaneous priorities
  • Participate in system testing post upgrades and rate change updates
  • Processing payments
  • Maintaining organized records
  • Calculating bill totals
  • Providing customer service to participating practices and Aledade staff, addressing questions they may have about the claim payments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • 7+ year billing and coding experience
  • Experience with Salesforce, Monday.com, Jira, and Tableau
  • Proficient with Google Suite
  • Bachelor’ degree in health-related services
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or comparable credential

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $50,000-$59,000 base + bonus + equity
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, as needed
