Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public health or other related field
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in project management
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Skills and demonstrated experience in project management, cultural awareness, health equity, creative problem solving, and innovation
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint), and SharePoint
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, as well as resource management practices
  • Excellent judgment and decision making, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and business acumen to accomplish project goals and strategic objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines, thrive in a complex environment, and successfully address competing priorities
  • Possesses a valid, current Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable private transport

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts
  • Responsible for overall planning, logistics, and coordination of half day on-site meetings at hospitals facilities within New Mexico and Texas
  • Create and develop meeting agendas, slide deck, and meetings notes in addition to sharing all post-/meeting materials in a timely manner with participants
  • Lead pre-meeting virtual practices sessions of presentations and hold regular check-ins with facility points of contact to prepare for on-site meetings
  • Plan focus group sessions based on identified NM Health surveillance topics as appropriate
  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet stakeholder expectations
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately
  • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Maintain collegial, productive relationships with colleagues and internal/external public health partners
  • Ensure clear communication of surveillance program activities including policies and procedures to multidisciplinary and non-technical audiences
