Requirements

  • Sufficient legal expertise to deal with the most common topics and to liaise with the global legal team efficiently (Bachelor in UK contracts law minimum)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Well-organized, able to multitask, flexible, and available to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong negotiation skills that strike the balance between getting the deal signed with the client being happy, while protecting the company's interests

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all contracting policies, processes, and procedures
  • Support the timely submission of bids and proposals, ensuring commercial/legal integrity for responding to the commercial aspects, including client terms and conditions and pricing
  • Identify commercial risks, develop and implement effective mitigation strategies and actions, and report the risk and progress with mitigation strategies internally
  • Lead negotiations with clients and suppliers concerning commercially advantageous terms and conditions, prices, and payment plans
  • Draft and review agreements, including but not limited to NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs, with a commercial eye while ensuring compliance
  • Effectively manage contracts daily, including client liaison and customer client management on contractual matters and contract renewals
  • Develop and negotiate flow-down terms and conditions to suppliers, producers, influencers, and other third parties
  • Resolve disputes and claims, ensuring the best outcome for the company
  • Advise sales and operations teams on all commercial contracting aspects and IP-related topics for creative assignments
  • Provide advice regarding contractual obligations, liabilities, and rights
  • Conduct contract reviews in conjunction with the global legal team
  • Maintain applicable commercial inputs into the document management systems, including the registration of all contracts in our CRM

Commercial Contracts Manager Manchester/London, hybrid

This position sits in our UK support/operations team. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems and drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions, such as ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include ASOS, Just Eat Takeaway, eBay, Twitch, TikTok, and The White Company.

JOB PURPOSE

The Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for actively leading and supporting the winning and delivery of profitable business and providing commercial support and governance to the business by ensuring the company contracts with clients and suppliers on terms that protect and optimize business value. While it focuses on the UK, it works in a highly internationalized context, contracting with global blue-chip level clients.

The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the contractual relationships with our clients and suppliers. Their job involves establishing communication with potential clients, negotiating contracts, providing internal support in the onboarding process, and ensuring the renewal of existing client contracts. Moreover, they manage all procurement of production facilities, actors, and influencers for our creative campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
