The Toast Product Marketing team is responsible for connecting the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to inform product development and bring new products to market through customer segmentation, value-based messaging, sales knowledge transfer, and cross-functional marketing activation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined experience in product marketing, product management, operational roles, finance, sales or strategy consulting
  • Strong ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations across a fast-growing organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading cross-functional partnerships with diverse teams to develop strategic plans and achieve desired goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to combine complex content into a clear and cohesive story to gain both internal and external buy-in
  • Data-minded with strong analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to uncover and deeply understand the needs and desires of customers and translate those learnings into product and go-to-market strategies

Responsibilities

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and launch process and influence product development for new Retail features
  • Become a product and market expert on all things food and beverage Retail, and use that knowledge to craft compelling value based messaging to generate leads and drive conversions
  • Take ownership of cross-functional plans and strategies to drive improvements with product adoption and sales effectiveness
  • Partner with Demand Generation to deepen our brand awareness and create more opportunities with food & beverage Retailers
  • Leverage data to unearth insights into buyer and customer needs and identify market opportunities to inform new marketing and sales strategies for Toast
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to drive sales productivity through product knowledge transfer, seller collateral, and value-based talk tracks
