Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in relationship based sales or business development roles
  • Strong network and social selling skills
  • Solid outbound selling skills
  • Ability to understand client responsibilities at a technical level and condense these down to important key points
  • Experience working closely with internal technical teams to understand and scope projects
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to estimate deal sizes
  • Contract and service negotiation, computer literacy, and CRM competency
  • Experience working with and selling to technology leaders who make decisions on team, technology, and partner choices
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and pursuit leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Very relationship-oriented, with strong storytelling and active listening abilities

Responsibilities

  • Strategically target, pursue, and develop new client relationships within high-potential industries that align with VGV’s offerings and growth goals
  • Drive brand awareness through networking, cold outreach, content initiatives, and conference attendance
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge to tailor VGV’s value proposition to client needs
  • Lead the full-cycle sales process, from initial outreach to close, engaging cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on opportunity strategy
  • Utilize a consultative, challenger approach to understand client challenges and position VGV as the solution of choice
  • Work closely with a cross-functional VGV team to develop concepts, pitch materials, and compelling presentations and proposals
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation to support forecasting and business planning
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients by providing strategic insight and serving as a trusted advisor
  • Act as an expert on VGV’s solutions, helping clients visualize and achieve their digital transformation goals
  • Stay informed on industry trends, offering clients timely, relevant insights
