Responsibilities

  • Drive transformative initiatives alongside Strategic Operations, Implementation, and Regional Operations, aligning overall business strategy with innovative and scalable process development
  • Oversee specific engagements and implement changes in approaches, methods, services, and/or processes to enhance our organization’s competitiveness and improve efficiencies
  • Integrate new ideas and processes in a way that is cohesive with existing systems; makes it easier for others to adapt to and adopt change
  • Work to create a more engaged company culture by encouraging team members at every level to contribute new ideas for improvement and breaking down perceived silos across teams; seek feedback from various members of the team to learn about current processes and where there is room for improvement
  • Meet with stakeholders at different levels to identify and overcome existing barriers or challenges; share solutions, don’t make assumptions, research and use data to perform gap analysis to then strategize, develop, and execute interventions
  • Research the competition to see what they are doing differently, as well as looking at processes outside of the industry to see how those could be replicated or integrated into our organization; identify innovation trends and business opportunities within the specialty industry
  • Attract, retain, and lead a diverse, high caliber, output-oriented team; cultivate an inspiring, rewarding and fun day-to-day experience and career opportunities
  • Problem solve and collaborate with small, results-oriented team to effectively keep projects on track toward both short-term milestones and long-term strategic objectives
  • Define a project roadmap inclusive of timelines, deliverables and dependencies for unique engagements
  • Achieve defined targets across multiple KPIs depending on domain (growth, efficiency, and capability) to demonstrate impact; this includes but is not limited to operationalizing MTM/CDTM, enhanced 340B qualification rate, engagement/enrollment gains, cost efficiency goals, increases in functional efficiency and impact
  • Partner with Regional operations to scale best-in-class workflows that reduce time-to-value, avoid common pitfalls, and ensure consistent and repeatable operational hygiene across critical tasks and processes
  • Lead impact measurement; ensure we measure and demonstrate the impact the Ops Innovation team has on a specific engagement
  • Oversee engagements with cross-functional teams and leaders to set roadmaps and goals aligned to the initiative, and then lead coordination of efforts across different parts of the organization

The Sr. Director, Ops Innovation, you will lead other high-performing Ops Innovation team members with diversified skills who, working alongside you, will integrate into specific engagements and/or projects to augment field operations and bolster operational excellence.  This position will support cross-region and national growth initiatives, augmenting Regional operations capabilities, resulting in demonstrable best practices and scalable processes that allow for replicable and streamlined implementation of key growth initiatives.

The Sr. Director, Ops Innovation should understand and assess existing business processes, reports, and initiatives and suggest ways to improve them; describe current state as well identify limitations.  This position will be responsible for developing plans according to varying timelines, and manage these processes by aligning innovation goals with the company’s broader business objectives.  In addition, this role will extend support beyond the confines of a single department to re-imagine processes and systems at every level of an organization, including but not limited to clinical and operational initiatives, ensuring Shields’ operations evolve to meet the growing needs of our health system partners.

Experience/Requirements
