Requirements

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience, including 3+ years of experience with a developer audience
  • A deep empathy for Developers and passion for Discord’s mission and the role Developers have to play in the growth of the business
  • A strategic thinker who is curious, resilient, goal-oriented with a bias for action, and can look at the big picture to connect dots and create clarity in an often ambiguous environment
  • An exceptional communicator who creates clarity for internal and external customers through intentional, organized verbal and written communication
  • The ability to lead effectively through influence and comfortable working cross-functionally across the entire business, catalyzing and inspiring teams to align with a common goal and do their best work
  • Stellar writing and content creation skills, including compelling video scripts, and articles for user education

Responsibilities

  • Develop programs and support Go-To-Market strategies that are grounded in customer empathy and effectively increase the number of game and app developers who are actively and successfully using Discord to grow their businesses
  • Create clear, cohesive messaging that lands the value proposition and the β€œwhy” with key audience segments
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the Developer ecosystem, including its competitive and partnership landscape, and use this insight to inform program strategy
  • Understand our target audience segments and act as an internal champion for the customer, ensuring their needs guide our marketing strategies and inform our program definition and plans
  • Deliver the right content to meet the developer where they are and enable their success, be it videos, product demos, case studies, blogs, articles, training materials, etc
  • Quarterback planning and execution across cross-functional teams. Inform, inspire, and enable partners across the organization to drive superior execution and business impact

Benefits

$185,000 to $203,500 + equity + benefits
