Join RTI as the first frontline Sales Development Manager and build the outbound sales engine from the ground up. Initially, you will handle frontline SDR efforts, collaborating with Account Managers and sales leadership. Simultaneously, you will develop a framework for a scalable SDR team. Success in establishing the role's effectiveness will lead to managing a team of SDRs. This role blends hands-on execution and strategic vision, impacting top-of-funnel growth and contributing to revenue targets. Requirements

  • US Citizenship required * *Due to applicable laws, government regulations, and contract specifications, we are required to fill this position only with an individual who qualifies as a "U.S. Citizen."
  • 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years selling high-end technology software solutions to R&D and engineering teams
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated success as a Sales Development Representative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Persistent and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A team player with a collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leadership to define and refine the Sales Development Representative role and establish the necessary processes and procedures to build a successful outbound function at RTI
  • Personally drive prospect identification and qualification efforts, targeting potential customers who closely match our ideal customer profile
  • Analyze and optimize the initial discovery call process to develop a scalable and repeatable model for future SDR team members
  • Develop effective and personalized outreach templates, messaging guidelines, and a structured multi-touch cadence strategy
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging insights to enhance outreach strategies
  • Document successful outreach strategies, efficient processes, and comprehensive training materials to ensure consistent best practices and facilitate effective onboarding of new SDR team members
  • Maintain close collaboration with Account Managers and sales leadership, fostering a supportive environment for mutual learning and strategic alignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience with sales tools (e.g., Gong Engage, 6sense, ZoomInfo) is a plus
