Summary

Join Planful's growing Sales Development team as an Inbound Sales Development Representative! You will engage and qualify inbound leads, conduct discovery calls to identify business needs, and collaborate with marketing and account executives. This role requires strong communication and relationship management skills, and a passion for SaaS sales. A background in marketing or education is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities

  • Engage and qualify inbound leads using Planful’s tech stack, ensuring a seamless transition into the sales pipeline
  • Conduct strategic discovery calls with prospects to identify business needs, qualify opportunities, and drive engagement, later introducing prospects to Planful Account Executive to further drive partnership
  • Understand finance users’ pain points, gather key requirements, and align Planful’s solutions with their business objectives
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Account Executives to optimize inbound lead conversion and develop targeted outreach strategies. This can come in the form of remote website lead generation, or in-person events
  • Develop industry expertise, gaining a deep understanding of the mid-market landscape and the value Planful delivers to customers
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly quotas of qualified pipeline/AE introductions, contributing to overall revenue growth
  • Provide detailed call notes and insights to Account Executives, ensuring a smooth handoff and well-defined next steps
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in Salesforce to support data-driven decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in marketing or education
  • Strong relationship management skills and public speaking experience
  • Finance, Accounting, or Marketing degree
  • Experience with Salesforce and Outreach
