Sales Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Sales Engineer at Matik, a data-driven content automation platform. The role involves working with Account Executives and prospects to help them understand the value of Matik's products through technical demos, proof of concepts, etc. The candidate should have 2-3 years of sales engineering experience, 4+ years in a customer-facing role, strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to think creatively.

Requirements

• 4+ years in a customer-facing role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative and results-driven
• Proven experience forging positive relationships with Sales teams

Responsibilities

• Perform technical demos with prospects so they understand the different ways to configure the Matik platform
• Help train AEs on how to answer technical questions that come up in the sales cycle
• Track activities (i.e. demos, proof of concepts, etc.) in Salesforce and report on the sales cycles
• Conduct proof of concepts with prospects that will allow them to test out our platform for a specific use case

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B SaaS sales engineering, customer success, or professional services
• Experience with the Salesforce.com platform, Mode, Looker, and/or Tableau
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
• Data analysis and the ability to turn data into insights that tell stories
• Startup experience
