This role focuses on driving net new business for Guild by advocating for the strategic value of education benefits for mid-enterprise companies. You will engage with C-suite and VP level executives to generate new business and grow revenue, develop and progress significant pipeline through prospecting, identify and research potential clients, leverage pre-built strategic customer-facing presentations and proposals, conduct initial client meetings and product demonstrations, build rapport and maintain relationships with clients, collaborate with the team to respond to client inquiries, support the development and execution of strategic account plans, coordinate with cross-functional teams, spearhead the preparation of proposals and presentations, stay informed about industry trends, assist in contract negotiations, and manage contract agreements. This role requires 7+ years of field B2B sales experience in a closing role, recent experience managing and closing complex sales cycles, and experience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years field B2B sales experience in a closing role (bonus if you have sold into HR decision makers)
- Recent experience managing and closing complex sales cycles
- Experience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment where there is frequent change and rapid growth expectations
Responsibilities
- Engage with C-suite and VP level executives at mid-enterprise companies to generate new business and grow revenue through meetings and phone calls
- Develop and progress significant pipeline through prospecting, including partnering with our BDR and Marketing teams
- Identify and research potential clients within the target market
- Leverage pre-built strategic customer-facing presentations and proposals to cultivate champions within your accounts
- Conduct initial client meetings and product demonstrations
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and challenges
- Collaborate with the team to respond to client inquiries and provide information on products and services
- Support the development and execution of strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of products and services that meet client requirements
- Spearhead the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients to drive sales
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors
- Assist in contract negotiations and manage contract agreements with clients
- Involved in supporting selling contract values larger than $1M
- A persistent sense of urgency and the ability to create urgency within accounts and with internal stakeholders
- Above average organizational and presentation skills
