This remote role, based in the Bay Area, demands a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of the AI/ML landscape and a proven track record of exceeding quotas. You will manage the full sales cycle, build relationships with C-level executives, and tailor Voltage Park's Neocloud solutions to client needs. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is crucial, as is staying updated on industry trends. You will also contribute to sales strategies and represent Voltage Park at industry events. The role offers a competitive base salary plus commission.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6-10 years of progressive enterprise sales experience, with a significant portion focused on selling complex cloud infrastructure, AI/ML solutions, or high-performance computing (HPC) services, with a strong emphasis on proactive lead generation and new logo acquisition
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the AI/ML ecosystem, cloud computing concepts, Nvidia enterprise GPU servers and emerging technologies, and the technical requirements of large-scale AI workloads
  • Location : While this role is remote, you must be located in the Bay Area in order to attend events and meet with customers
  • Proven Track Record: Consistent achievement and over-achievement of sales quotas, with a demonstrated ability to close multi-million dollar deals and manage long, complex sales cycles
  • Communication & Presentation: Professional verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing technical and business audiences at all levels
  • In-Person Field Work: Attends industry relevant expos, meetups, networking groups, parties, etc
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

  • Proactive Lead Sourcing & Qualification: Drive new business by actively identifying, researching, and qualifying a diverse pipeline of legitimate leads and prospective clients across various market segments
  • Strategic Account Acquisition: Initiate and develop new relationships, guiding prospective clients through the sales funnel from initial contact to successful close, with a focus on companies leveraging or building advanced AI/ML capabilities
  • Full Sales Cycle Management: Own and manage the entire sales process from initial outreach and qualification through to contract negotiation and close, ensuring a seamless transition to the customer success team
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong, trusted relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, and key stakeholders within target organizations
  • Solution Selling: Conduct in-depth discovery to understand client challenges and strategic objectives, providing expert consultations to tailor and present Voltage Park's Neocloud solutions as the optimal fit
  • Collaborative Solution Design: Work closely with Voltage Park Solutions Engineers to create valuable and customized technical solutions for customers
  • Partner Account Nurturing: Collaborate closely with the Director of Channel Partners to nurture partner accounts and help drive qualified leads
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure customized solutions, smooth deployments, and ongoing client satisfaction
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging AI/ML technologies to position Voltage Park effectively and provide valuable insights to clients
  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecast sales, and report on performance against targets using Hubspot CRM tools
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the development of sales strategies, market entry plans, and product feedback based on client interactions and market demands
  • Industry Engagement: Represent Voltage Park at industry events, conferences, and webinars to build brand awareness and generate new leads. Account Executives must be out in the field regularly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience networking with and/or selling to Generative AI companies, startups, universities, and Enterprise accounts
  • Existing network of contacts within the target enterprise segment
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Familiarity with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle OCI

Benefits

  • The base salary is $125-150k with a base plus commission target of $250k - $300k or more
