Requirements

  • 5 years minimum of relevant accounting experience, with 2 years in a Senior Accountant role
  • Experience working in NetSuite or other large accounting systems
  • Very hands-on and loves finding and building better ways to do things
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized and strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Self-confident team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in accounting required

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process as it relates to preparing and taking ownership of month-end tasks, posting journal entries (including intercompany eliminating entries), maintaining detailed general ledger (GL) schedules, and reconciling key accounts
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and timely close processes for both month-end and year-end
  • Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis reporting and fielding questions from other business lines
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Maintain accounting schedules (including, intangibles, capitalized software, etc.) and capturing relevant general ledger activity
  • Support the annual audit process through preparation of audit schedules and fielding any questions
  • Assist in M&A integration reporting and technical accounting areas related to acquisition transactions
  • Assist in the maintenance of up-to-date Accounting Policies for all critical general ledger accounting areas
  • Assist in the documentation of standard operating procedures
  • Support the implementation of new and improved accounting processes and tools, including ongoing monitoring of internal controls
  • Respond to inquiries regarding special reporting requests
  • Train and mentor junior accountants
  • Plan and prioritize assignments and projects in a constantly changing environment
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/CPA candidate, preferred
  • Public Accounting Experience, highly preferred
