Summary
Join Airbnb Canada's Community Growth team as a Senior Community Growth Manager! You will launch and manage host growth programs, including the Host Network and Superhost Ambassadors. This role involves hybrid program operations and relationship development, with revenue and business performance objectives. You'll design manuals, adapt frameworks to local market dynamics, and collaborate with various teams. Success will be measured by growth, retention, and guest hosting success in Canada. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and content creation skills, capable of long-term planning while adapting to short-term priorities.
Requirements
- Possess at least eight years of experience in sales, business operations, or business development within the technology, real estate (or property management), or travel industries
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and a proven ability to drive growth and own key growth objectives and results while exceeding targets
- Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and mindset; demonstrate ingenuity and keep the goal in sight
- Possess strong project management skills and a proven track record of leading strategic programs and processes
- Ability to anticipate, shape, and optimize growth tactics based on known and unknown outcomes
- Possess experience in sales or external relationship management within the technology and consumer goods industries
- Influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building
- Quickly assess business problems, opportunities, or challenges and make decisions based on presented facts, creative problem-solving, and past experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong business acumen, to build trust at all levels
- Demonstrate high empathy for our community AND a passion for revenue and growth
- Possess a broad understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
- Exhibit enthusiastic and creative leadership and the ability to inspire others
- Ability to thrive with minimal supervision, demonstrate proactivity, and manage uncertainty and ambiguity
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, large dataset analysis, and formulas), analytical tools (SQL), and methodologies such as capacity planning, forecasting, general modeling for prioritization and decision-making
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Salesforce CRM, and other technology solutions to drive product acquisition, territory management, and retention
- Possess experience and in-depth knowledge of collaborative project management tools and processes (e.g., Asana, Airtable, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Launch programs
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new co-hosts, ambassadors, and other hosts participating in these programs
- Analyze regional and territorial business trends and results to identify and optimize growth opportunities
- Design, test, and evaluate new levers that drive host growth at scale
- Create and manage a community forum to increase reach and feedback loops for program, product support, and community support
- Implement workshops, events, webinars, partnerships, and other mechanisms to develop an integrated strategy
- Adapt central programs to support regional objectives
- Design and execute effective email and large-scale communication campaigns to drive engagement and awareness throughout the lifecycle
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hosts within the community-led growth programs; provide advice and support to hosts in developing their property management businesses
- Establish mechanisms for surveying and feedback to assess and aggregate information on central products and programs
- Find and test opportunities to increase overall host success
- Take ownership of host and revenue growth targets
- Develop new programs and initiatives
- Implement plans and evaluate their overall effectiveness to inform business initiatives
- Leverage inspiration, influence, and our core value of belonging to lead your team
- Contribute meaningfully to a strategic outcome to enable Airbnb to pave the way for the next generation of Hosts
- Launch a new growth model and structure for Airbnb; this will require developing project plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally, partnering with multiple stakeholders, and designing mitigation plans for solution design
- Support the development, execution, and expansion of pilot projects to accelerate the evolution of vertical markets
- Champion change and effectively utilize change management methodologies during the deployment of solutions and processes
- Lead the showcasing of community resources through compelling and impactful communications
- Develop a deep understanding of your assigned markets and become the go-to person for internal and external partners regarding local market trends and dynamics
- Support online and in-person community events (webinars, meetups, and workshops)
