Senior Director of Accounting

Summary

Join Elite Technology as a Sr. Director of Accounting and lead the global accounting team. You will oversee key financial processes, including monthly close and account reconciliations, and be responsible for global accounting policies, operations, and systems. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, and experience managing accounting teams in high-growth software companies. You will work closely with the Controller on various projects and ensure compliance with internal controls. Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Have 10+ years of experience in accounting management, with at least 4 years in software
• Possess strong proficiency in NetSuite and Excel
• Have familiarity with multi-country operations
• Demonstrate a successful track record in leading accounting teams for high-growth software companies in a venture-backed or private-equity setting
• Possess successful track record of setting priorities; keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision-making
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Supervise the global accounting team
• Oversee key financial processes such as monthly close and account reconciliations
• Assume overall responsibility for global accounting policies, operations, and systems
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team, including general ledger, accounts payable, billing credit collections, and accounts receivable teams
• Manage the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and department KPIs
• Work closely with the Controller to assume leadership of projects including ownership over cash forecasting and tax and treasury coordination
• Work on highly complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires working with other departments and coming up with innovative solutions
• Serve as the technical U.S. GAAP subject matter expert on complex/critical areas
• Be responsible for consolidated financial statements including the quarterly financial pack to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors and ability to present financial statements during internal monthly close calls
• Liaise and manage Elite’s external auditors, tax auditors or other 3rd parties and follow applicable regulatory reporting guidelines and manage country statutory filings
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and take a lead role in enhancing current control procedures and processes
• Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics
• Evaluate and continuously improve NetSuite system for greater efficiency and accuracy
• Drive weekly cash flow forecasting in partnership with the FP&A team
• Establish and implement best in class tax and cash management processes
• Be responsible for staff development, performance reviews and manage the Accounting team structure in alignment with the Controller
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold an MBA or CPA
• Have acquisition integration/purchase accounting experience
