Summary

The Senior Event Manager role involves planning and executing events while leading a team of Event Managers. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of multiple event types, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with budgets
  • Coordinate with hotels and event venues, negotiate with vendors, presenter management, budgeting, and lead onsite support staff
  • Lead and mentor a team of Event Managers, providing guidance and support in their operational and logistical responsibilities
  • Train and onboard new staff and event managers
  • Ensure team accountable to Solution Tree standards for event standards and procedures
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, maintaining budget controls and optimizing event profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service, sales, and logistics to enhance event success
  • Facilitate effective communication and training within the team, ensuring all members are aligned with the latest updates and practices
  • Act as a support event manager on-site during events, providing backup support and leadership to ensure smooth operations and immediate problem resolution

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications , recommended: CMP (Certified Meeting Planner)
