Summary

Join Boomi as a Senior Manager, HRIS to lead the evolution of its Workday platform. Partner with HR Operations and cross-functional teams to enhance Workday, streamline processes, and deliver a seamless employee experience. Lead a team of HRIS professionals, oversee Workday system configuration and optimization, and manage system testing and deployment. Drive change management for Workday releases, resolve production support tickets, and monitor system usage to recommend improvements. Create training materials and stay current on Workday features and HR technology trends. This role requires deep Workday HCM expertise and experience leading complex HRIS initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HRIS or HR Technology, with deep hands-on expertise in Workday HCM, including Core HCM, Performance, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Absence Management, Benefits, and Reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and oversee Workday configurations, spanning business process framework, calculated fields, condition and validation rules, and domain/security groups, balancing technical precision with business alignment
  • Proven track record of leading complex HRIS initiatives involving configuration, optimization, and end-user support within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical mindset and business acumen; able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and proactively solve complex problems
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members across diverse geographic locations to deliver results aligned with a broader HR technology roadmap
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with experience influencing HR, IT, Finance, and business partners
  • Comfortable managing change at scale with a strategic mindset and detail-oriented approach to process, technology, and user experience
  • Self-starter who operates independently while balancing multiple priorities
  • Experience supporting Workday in a global environment, including configuration and process design across multiple countries
  • Proficiency in Workday integrations (EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors) and custom reporting

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for key Workday modules including Core HCM, Performance, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Absence Management, Benefits, and Reporting
  • Provide strategic support for HR programs like performance reviews, goal setting, talent mapping, and annual compensation planning
  • Partner with HR Operations to translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations, leading design and governance using the Workday business process framework
  • Lead and develop a team of specialized HRIS professionals to deliver outcomes aligned with the HR technology roadmap
  • Oversee Workday system configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting, collaborating with HR stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
  • Manage system testing (UAT), deployment cycles, and configuration updates to ensure timely delivery of Workday enhancements
  • Drive change management, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communications, for bi-annual Workday releases
  • Triage and resolve production support tickets via platforms like Jira, including root cause analysis and timely fixes
  • Monitor system usage and recommend configuration or process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience
  • Create and maintain end-user training, documentation, and job aids for HR and business users
  • Stay current on Workday roadmap features and emerging HR technology trends; leverage Workday Community and best practices to recommend innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Jira), and HR technology governance best practices
  • A passion for HRIS technology and Workday innovation, with proven ability to identify, evaluate, and champion new solutions that enhance system capabilities and support business goals
