Join Instacart as the Head of Social, leading the vision and execution of our social media strategy. You will define our brand's cultural presence, leading a cross-functional team to align social efforts with broader marketing goals, capture attention, and drive engagement. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in social media roles for leading consumer brands
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- A proven track record of building and scaling high-performing social campaigns that drive both engagement and revenue
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, able to inspire and mentor a team while influencing stakeholders across the organization
- A strategic and creative thinker who can seamlessly balance brand storytelling with performance objectives, while ensuring creative excellence across all social content
- Highly data-literate and performance-driven, you can demonstrate with data what social media success looks like. You have deep knowledge of native and third-party social media analytics tools, and can extract and interpret performance results against business goals
Responsibilities
- Develop and Evolve Social Strategy: Own and evolve Instacart's social media vision and strategy, ensuring it aligns with our overall brand and business goals while consistently pushing creative boundaries across all platforms
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide cross-functional teams (e.g., Creative, Legal, Performance Marketing) to develop and execute a high-performing brand social program
- Be the Real-Time Brand Voice: Act as the brand's real-time voice, leading Instacart's engagement in trending moments, cultural conversations, and community dialogue
- Translate Insights into Action: Use data, cultural trends, and audience behavior to shape content strategies, inform campaign direction, and continuously optimize performance
- Drive Multi-Platform Execution: Lead the daily execution of social campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms, skillfully balancing always-on content with impactful tentpole moments
- Champion Innovation: Drive creative risk-taking and innovation, staying ahead of platform updates, new content formats, and creator partnerships to keep Instacart at the forefront of social media and culture
