Summary

Join Samsara, a pioneer in the Connected Operations™ Cloud, as a Business Operations Analyst to build and scale our renewals sales organization. You will be the expert on critical data sources, transforming data into actionable insights to optimize the renewals cycle. Partner with various teams to provide insights into business drivers, financial performance, and risks. Build and maintain models to forecast renewal rates and revenue retention. Analyze team performance and develop recommendations for improvement. Develop key performance metrics and own quarterly/annual reporting. Collaborate with sales leadership on presentations. Maintain a deep understanding of renewals processes and systems. Champion Samsara's cultural principles.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in a management consulting firm and/or as a Sales Operations / Business Operations or Financial Analyst
  • Comfort with performing analytical work with large data sets to perform modeling, forecasting, and sales analyses, experience in consulting, investment banking, or other highly quantitative roles
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, and other sales tech stack
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Advanced decision-making skills, including ability to be proactive and adapt quickly

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the expert on Salesforce, financial systems, and customer success platforms, resolving discrepancies between financial and CRM data and transforming complex datasets into reliable information
  • Partner with the Global Renewal Sales Organization, Business Operations, and Finance to provide actionable insights into business drivers, financial performance, and risks
  • Build and maintain models to forecast renewal rates, revenue retention, and churn risk using historical performance, customer behavior, and market data
  • Analyze team performance and develop recommendations for improving renewal rates, increasing revenue, and increase sales efficiency
  • Develop key performance metrics to drive sales productivity and own quarterly/annual reporting on renewal bookings, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to prepare insights that support sales kickoff presentations, business reviews, and strategic presentations
  • Maintain deep understanding of renewals processes and systems to develop administrative policies and deep insights consistent with global sales standards
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with financial data and analysis preferred
