Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in public relations gained in startups, scale-ups, agencies in the health sector, or technology-driven organizations with digitally based operations
- Experience with the Healthcare industry in Canada
- Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong news and strategy judgment and ability to execute quickly
- Self-motivated, fast learner, and strategic thinker; able to achieve high impact in a fast-paced or ambiguous environment
Responsibilities
- Understand the healthcare landscape in Canada and leverage audience trends to tell stories on behalf of Felix
- Be accountable for the success of all communications & PR programs through planning, prioritizing, and executing on multiple projects at a once
- Develop communications & PR programs and materials that support ongoing marketing activities including category launches, events, calendar opportunities, influencer and issues management
- Develop and implement issues management strategies to minimize and manage risks to Felix, including risk assessment, media evaluation and standing up crisis teams as needed
- Work with reporters proactively and reactively to be their go-to person for addressing any communication inquiries or issues
- Contribute to influencer and partnership marketing programs through cross-functional collaboration
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with partners, media, and industry
- Take a lead role on internal communications while working closely with the HR team (e.g., all hands, company events, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
- Experience in crisis management and internal communications
