Join a respected commercial lending firm as a Strategic Business Development professional. You will leverage your investment banking and private equity relationships to develop and secure new business opportunities in the commercial and financial services sector. Responsibilities include maintaining and expanding your network, developing financing proposals, negotiating deals, and closing significant transactions. You will collaborate with underwriting teams and participate in industry events. The role requires 3+ years of experience in investment banking or private equity, strong sales and relationship-building skills, and a proven track record. Remote work flexibility is offered from Dallas, North Carolina, or New York, with 50% travel required. Compensation includes a base salary ($80,000-$160,000) plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking or private equity, specifically in business development
- Proven sales and relationship-building capabilities
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and deal structures
- Established network of investment bankers and/or private equity professionals
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand network of financial professionals including commercial and investment bankers, asset-based lenders, equity and debt sponsor groups, accountants, attorneys and business consultants
- Develop, present and negotiate financing proposals for prospective clients
- Structure and negotiate financing proposals for middle-market companies
- Generate and close several significant transactions annually
- Leverage your network of investment bankers, private equity professionals, and financial contacts to generate new business
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to close transactions efficiently
- Support and implement any new sales/marketing initiatives to grow company business
- Achieve individual revenue targets through both new business and referrals
- Present comprehensive working capital solutions to company executives (CEOs, CFOs, Presidents)
- Participate in industry trade shows and networking events
- Maintain and expand network of referral sources
Benefits
