Summary

Ultra Mobile is seeking a talented Systems Operations Engineer I to join their Tech Ops Team remotely. The role involves monitoring system transactions, identifying and resolving technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of computer hardware experience, 1+ years of maintaining system infrastructure, and 1+ years of operational support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ Years of Microsoft Office or similar products
  • 5+ Years of computer hardware experience
  • 1+ Years of maintaining system infrastructure
  • 1+ Years of operational support

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all system transactions, read dashboards, and investigate any discrepancies
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to system performance, and customer experience
  • Investigate and diagnose problems, develop effective solutions, and implement corrective measures
  • Perform appropriate analyses for business and customer impacts and report findings to direct supervisors
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components and process efficiencies
  • Communicate production outages, incidents, and maintenances to the larger organization
  • Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency
  • Create and maintain documentation, including system design and procedures
  • Perform well-documented day-to-day operational tasks
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation once approximately every 4-8 weeks

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Self-direct and ability to take the lead when necessary
  • Familiar with ITIL and best practices on processes
  • Basic understanding of Monitoring/Alarming complex systems
