Technical Director of Solutions Engineering

Summary

Teleport is a leading Identity-Native Infrastructure Access Management company that replaces outdated access solutions with more secure identity. The Director of Solutions Engineering will lead a team of solutions engineers, navigate complex deals, and assist companies in enhancing their security and development experience. They should have strong people management skills, a deep understanding of Linux networking and modern CNCF technologies, and hands-on experience with public cloud providers.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead a customer-facing team, including strong skills in people management, mentoring, coaching, and development
• Proven experience managing customer outcomes through various stages of the customer journey, from sales process to onboarding, adoption, and growth
• Strong understanding of Linux networking and network security
• Exceptional practical knowledge of modern CNCF and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Successful track record of navigating complex deployments at innovative companies
• Solid programming skills in Python or Golang, required for interfacing with the Teleport Engineering team
• Hands-on experience with one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Exceptional skills in server-side software troubleshooting, testing, and debugging
