Summary

The job is for a Technical Sales Executive who will create, nurture, and close new opportunities with existing customers to meet annual targets. The role requires technical understanding of AI software and experience selling into Pharma. The position is open to applicants from Canada, the US, and the UK.

Requirements

  • Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering degrees are preferred
  • Commercial experience with 5+ years of smashing quota selling complex software solutions (SaaS) into Life Science and Pharma accounts is a plus
  • Technical certifications in AI or Data Sciences are a plus
  • Experience selling into Pharma is a must-have
  • Experience/ track record of success delighting customers selling enterprise software, ERP, or procurement solutions
  • Actively hone and engage a network of leadership across global Pharma and biotech organizations
  • Self-driven to actively prospect and seek new sales opportunities
  • Proficiency in solution selling through complex results-focused sales cycles
  • Ability to take ownership of all facets of the sales cycle, with a personal ambition to close
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time (most of our industry customers are in the US)

Responsibilities

  • Develop a technical AI strategy and technical understanding for each customer
  • Prepare architecture drawings to build credibility and consistency top across pharma technical teams
  • Support the business on the acquisition, retention, and expansion of pharmaceutical and biotechnology customer accounts
  • Establish a deep understanding of the technical value and positioning to aid in customer acquisition
  • Work closely with the Director of Partnerships to coordinate every stage of territory opportunities, from prospecting to contract signature
  • Practice Key Account Management with executive stakeholder development, to drive and close a sale, write proposals, and negotiate contracts across enterprise levels
  • Proactively engage influencers and champions/executive leadership across science, operations procurement, IT, and finance to get the deal done while building trust and partnerships
  • Collaborate with the product team to relay customer requests, and feedback on new features and product impact
  • Work closely, collaboratively & cross-functionally with company leadership, sales colleagues, and support teams to drive strategy, close deals and enable client success

Preferred Qualifications

Internal candidates are eligible for this role after 3 years of experience beating targets
