  • A career background in computer science and product management that led you to marketing from a place of personally building and releasing software
  • A deep and nuanced understanding of Quality Engineering and DevOps
  • A profound POV and curiosity about how engineering leaders (e.g. CTOs) make strategic partnership and supplier decisions
  • A keen understanding of how to intelligently leverage content marketing (organic), paid programs (ads), and events (digital/physical) to complement strategic, relationship selling
  • A love of personally writing and shipping marketing content
  • Martech expertise with a working knowledge of HubSpot, WordPress, and Salesforce

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling experiences that authentically provide value to CTOs and VPs of Engineering (Testlio’s primary target audience)
  • Own marketing strategy, including messaging, positioning, mix, and allocation
  • Operate a cross-channel marketing budget that balances experimentation with predictability
  • Manage and optimize marketing programs that drive Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) at a compelling cost-per-lead
  • Lead and manage a team of three full-time professionals (content, programs, and design leaders) along with a collection of vendors and consultants
  • Roll up your sleeves and produce content yourself across paid, owned, and earned distribution (this is not a pure “management” job. You’ll need to write, create, and ship assets while working with your team)
  • Serve the Testlio VP, Global Sales as a key internal client, understanding the needs of sellers and delivering value to each member of the sales team
  • Partner with the Testlio VP, Alliances to activate partner marketing programs
  • Build and nurture relationships with analysts, journalists, influencers, luminaries, clients, and others
  • Drive martech efficiencies, optimizing how we use technology
