Summary

Join Freebird, a rapidly growing DTC brand, as their VP of Growth (Acquisition) to lead customer acquisition efforts. You will own the P&L, set acquisition goals, build and lead a high-performing team, and expand into new channels. Responsibilities include managing paid media, performance creative, influencer marketing, and affiliate programs. The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of experience in growth marketing, a proven track record of success with large media budgets, and experience building high-volume creative pipelines. Requirements

  • 7–10+ years in growth, performance marketing, or acquisition roles at DTC or consumer brands
  • Proven ownership of $3–5M+/mo paid media budgets across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling new acquisition channels like Affiliate, Influencer, TV/CTV, Podcasts, or TikTok Shop
  • Experience building and managing high-volume creative pipelines (300+ assets/mo)
  • Strong track record optimizing funnels, landing pages, offers, and pricing for margin and scale
  • Fluent in MMM, incrementality testing, CAC:LTV modeling, and forecasting frameworks
  • Deep knowledge of attribution and channel-specific measurement strategies
  • Hands-on with Northbeam, Amplitude, GA4, or similar tools
  • Experience building and leading scrappy, high-performing teams in high-growth environments
  • Strong cross-functional partner to Creative, Product, Ops, and Ecommerce leaders
  • Operates with urgency, ownership, and a performance-driven mindset
  • Excited to build something from the ground up and own the outcome

Responsibilities

  • Own the acquisition P&L—including CAC, contribution margin, and new customer growth
  • Set acquisition goals, forecasts, and budgets in collaboration with the executive team
  • Build and lead a high-performing team across Paid Media, Creative Strategy, and Influencer/Affiliate
  • Drive a culture of speed, ownership, and experimentation rooted in data and accountability
  • Lead all performance marketing channels (Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, AppLovin)
  • Expand into new acquisition channels (Affiliate, Influencer, CTV, Podcasts, TikTok Shop, Reddit)
  • Grow TOF and remarketing pool through strong campaign architecture and diversification
  • Partner with agencies and internal teams on CTV, podcast, and other experimental channels
  • Implement MMM, incrementality testing, and forecasting models to scale spend intelligently
  • Partner with our in-house creative team to generate 300+ assets/month across formats, hooks, and personas
  • Test and scale beyond UGC—VSLs, product demos, comparison ads, storytelling, etc
  • Build feedback loops between media, creative, and analytics to improve performance and velocity
  • Use customer research, Reddit, reviews, and trends to guide creative briefs and messaging strategy
  • Guide strategy for offers, bundles, landing pages, quizzes, and pricing experimentation
  • Partner with our CRO and Ecommerce teams to increase CVR, AOV, and first-order profitability
  • Leverage creative and funnel segmentation to maximize performance by audience and product
  • Build Freebird’s affiliate and creator program from 0 to 500+ aligned partners
  • Drive Spark Ads and repurposed influencer content for direct response impact
  • Build and lead TikTok Shop growth team across creative, content velocity, and operations
  • Seed organic content and engagement in Reddit, Discord, Quora, and niche communities
  • Own reporting, dashboards, and insights using tools like Northbeam, GA4, Amplitude, and Shopify
  • Lead experimentation frameworks and cohort modeling to assess CAC, LTV, and margin impact
  • Define KPIs, track attribution, and inform media mix decisions with real-time feedback loops

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bonus: Experience in grooming/personal care, or subscription DTC with $50+ AOV
  • Bonus: Experience with international markets and localization strategies
