Summary

The job is for a Vice President of Sales at Growlink, an Agritech/Cannabis company. The role involves leading the sales team and driving growth in SaaS and hardware sectors. The ideal candidate should have experience in sales leadership, particularly in SaaS, hardware, and e-commerce environments, with a background in at least one of the specified industries: Agriculture, Horticulture, Cannabis, CBD, or Hemp.

Requirements

  • Experience in at least one of the following industries: Agriculture, Horticulture, Cannabis, CBD, or Hemp
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. MBA preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in SaaS, hardware, and e-commerce sales is essential
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cannabis cultivation processes and challenges is highly desirable
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools
  • Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of Account Executives (AEs), Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), and Customer Success Managers
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company growth targets for SaaS and hardware sales
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, focusing on large commercial grows and multi-state operators (MSOs)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target accounts
  • Drive the growth of our SaaS platform, ensuring high customer retention and renewal rates
  • Oversee e-commerce sales, optimizing the online sales process and customer experience
  • Set and track team performance metrics, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction
  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and a competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling directly to cannabis cultivators is preferred
