Account Manager

Summary

Join Biffa's Compliance team as an Account Manager, focusing on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance schemes. This hybrid/remote role (ideally Midlands-based) involves managing key client accounts, providing technical guidance on WEEE, Packaging, EPR, and PPT, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will manage audits, proactively engage with customers, and present regulatory updates. The role transitions internally to Compliance Manager. Requirements

• Ideally a knowledge of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging, Extended Producer responsibility (EPR), Plastic Packaging Tax and its practical application
• Excellent Customer service and account management skills
• Proactive individual with ability to manage workload
• High level of numeracy and literacy
• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate at all levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work effectively in a small team
• Sound knowledge of other office applications
• The ability to take on projects and to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Member communication and account management of key clients
• To provide guidance, knowledge and support on technical queries in regards to Extended Producer responsibility (EPR) including Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging and Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT)
• Manager your audit schedule and ensure you achieve target set and follow the process to ensure all audits are documented and actions taken
• Proactively engage with customers in providing help with queries
• Responsible for recruitment and retention of compliance customers
• To provide first line support to members and internal departments
• Ensure up to date on Legislation changes
• Ensure compliance with all QA procedures in line with job tasks
• Support through compliance submission periods
• Ability to present in webinars, F2F events on producer compliance
• A champion of Biffa compliance and company values
