Summary

The job is for an Operations and Accounting Manager who will review processes, support client accounting needs, prepare financial reports, and make recommendations for improvement. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or equivalent, relevant experience, project management skills, expertise in QuickBooks (QBO preferred), experience managing multiple clients as a consultant or for a consulting firm, demonstrated expertise in Accounting Software or general tech knowledge, accounting complexity knowledge, audit and tax prep knowledge, organization skills, experience in developing workflows/ process improvements, ability to manage/ train/ monitor, and at least two years of experience in a senior accounting role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Project management – ability to oversee, plan, and highlight critical paths (resources and timelines)
  • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks (QBO preferred)
  • Has experience managing multiple clients as a consultant or for a consulting firm
  • Demonstrated expertise in Accounting Software (e.g. Sage Intacct, JDE, etc.) or general tech knowledge (SaaS, Cloud tech)
  • Accounting complexity (payroll/ HRΒ compliance, regular closing with supporting knowledge)
  • Audit and tax prep knowledge
  • Organization – checklists, task lists; how they organize/schedule
  • Experience in developing workflows/ process improvements
  • Ability to manage/ train/ monitor
  • At least two years of experience in a senior accounting role
  • Great communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Process review/ recommendation on efficiencies
  • Responsible for assessing current operational processes
  • Facilitate discussions with team members and clients to assist in determining the baseline of workflow and current processes
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine process gaps
  • Consolidate findings and recommend areas of improvement
  • Develop and present operations plan to implement recommended changes to leadership inclusive of timeline
  • Design and test best practices/recommended improvements
  • Responsible to support client accounting needs
  • May lead other team members in handling accounting activities
  • Analyze and record financial statements
  • Recommend areas to streamline costs or to enhance revenue
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Prepare financial reports to support audits; work with auditors to provide data
  • Prepare financial reports to support tax obligations
  • Issue financial analysis of financial statements on monthly and as-needed basis
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Support audit preparations
  • Support tax preparation
