Accounting Manager

Summary

The Accounting Manager role is a remote position that operates on a graveyard shift. The job involves complex financial accounting work, providing guidance to the accounting staff, overseeing financial processes, developing financial analyses, collaborating with various departments, participating in audits, ensuring compliance, and advising senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance roles, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support to the accounting staff in their day-to-day functions and complex accounting issues
• Oversee the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processes
• Prepare and review detailed financial statements in compliance with official standards and requirements
• Lead the development and implementation of rigorous financial analyses and reporting
• Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial documentation and data integrity
• Participate in the coordination and support of audit activities
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and regulatory compliance
• Recommend and help implement improvements to financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
• Knowledgeable in using the following accounting softwares: ACUMATICA and FLOQAST
• Preferably has experience working in the Agricultural and Manufacturing Industry
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience in a remote work environment or demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual setting is a plus
